mycard.brown.edu is a secure service providing students and employees with online Bear Bucks account management capabilities.

The Bear Bucks program will officially end on June 30, 2026.

For many years, Bear Bucks has been a familiar part of the Brown experience, providing a convenient way to pay for campus services. However, as payment technology has evolved, so have the preferences of our community. With the near-universal adoption of credit cards, debit cards, and mobile payments like Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Venmo, we have seen a significant decline in the use of the Bear Bucks program.
Following a trend among institutions like Harvard, which successfully transitioned away from its "Crimson Cash" program, NYU, which ended its “Campus Cash” program, and others, the Bear Bucks program will sunset to align with modern, universal payment standards.

mycard.brown.edu provides valuable information about account balances and spending history.  mycard.brown.edu is available on both desktop and mobile web browsers.

Add Funds

Add funds to your Bear Bucks account using a credit/debit card. The minimum deposit is $10.  The maximum balance would be $2,000.

A family member or other designee can also add funds to your Bear Bucks account using the mycard.brown.edu portal. The user's Brown ID number is required to add funds.

View Accounts

View linked accounts, such as Bear Bucks, meal plans, and printing. Account balances can be displayed in real-time.

Check Transaction History

View transaction histories for up to the past six months.

The information displayed for each transaction includes date and time, location, account, type of transaction, and transaction amount.
